Orestes Matacena
After escaping Castro’s Cuba to Mexico, Orestes moved to Florida to start acting and co-founded a theater, and then made his way to New York, where he continued to run his theater, pursuing acting, producing, writing, and directing.
In New York, Orestes wrote and produced the two films he directed before moving to Hollywood to continue his work in film and television. Over the years, he built a career defined by creativity and pushing the envelope. And he always loved photography, a hobby he picked up from his father. His passion is storytelling with humor and grit, juxtaposing the good and dark side of humanity, while giving the audience something to think about.
