About the Author
Meet Richard B. Dantzler Sr.
Writer. Artist. Veteran. Storyteller. Lifelong Learner.
Richard B. Dantzler Sr.’s creative journey began long before he published his first book.
As a child, he loved drawing and began creating murals around the age of twelve. By seventeen, he had developed a passion for writing about the things he saw, heard, experienced, and felt.
At twenty-two, Richard joined the United States Army. Even while serving as a food service soldier, creativity remained an important part of his life. He continued writing, creating art, observing people, and collecting stories.
Over the years, countless pieces of writing were stored away many of them literally kept in a shoebox. In 1997, those scattered writings became the foundation for the manuscript of his first book, Then, Let Him Speak.
A lifelong learner, Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a master’s degree in Management. His writing has continued to evolve through family conversations, personal reflection, travel, faith, and the experiences of everyday life.
Today, he writes with a desire to inspire readers to live fully, remain curious, embrace responsibility, and recognize God’s faithfulness along the journey.
About the Book
Five Shorts:
Miracles in the Mirror
Sometimes the Moments We Never Forget Are the Ones That
Change Us Forever Five Shorts: Miracles in the Mirror is a reflective
collection inspired by Richard B. Dantzler Sr.’s childhood adventures,
family memories, spiritual journey, and the experiences that followed
him into young adulthood.
From Hawaii to Washington, D.C., each story revisits moments that may
once have seemed ordinary but, when viewed years later, reveal something
deeper protection, growth, purpose, and the quiet presence of God.
At the heart of the book is a simple message: life should not be lived in fear. It should be experienced with faith, curiosity, responsibility, and the courage to keep moving forward.
Look Back. Reflect. Believe.
Sometimes we recognize a miracle only after enough time has passed to see the full picture.
