About the Book

My Prayer on the Rock
Is an inspiring memoir that traces Dr. Marion White’s remarkable journey from her rural Jamaican childhood to the challenges and triumphs of life in the United States.

When a young Marion looks up at a passing plane and prays on a sun-warmed rock, she has no idea that her simple vow will define her destiny. Through candid storytelling and Scripture-anchored reflection, Dr. White reveals how prayer became her shield and compass—guiding her through loss, migration, family rupture, abuse, grief, and ultimately, healing.

This book is for anyone who has ever wondered if God hears their prayers. Honest, practical, and filled with hope, it invites readers to find strength in faith, peace in the storm, and proof that one prayer can change everything.
