About the Book
The World Ended in Silence.
When Ethan Wilkerson returns home to find his world irreversibly changed, his reality fractures. The life he once knew — family dinners, familiar streets, the hum of ordinary living — vanishes overnight. With only memories, a dwindling supply of food, and the journal that keeps him sane, Ethan begins recording what could be humanity’s final days.
But survival in an empty world isn’t simple. Shadows of the past linger. Dangers lurk in the quiet. And as the boundaries between truth and madness begin to blur, Ethan must navigate a reality that feels both empty and alive. Accompanied only by a mysterious stray cat, he discovers that the greatest threat might not come from what’s out there but from within.
About the Author
The World Ended in Silence.
I live in Herington, Kansas, where I divide my time between my family, a full-time job, and the stories that simply won’t leave me alone. I’ve been happily married for 21 years and have two kids and a foster child. I have 2 other hobbies, rather “addictions” of gaming and 3d printing. Both test my patients.
I often tell my children, “There is always hurdles in life and we have to do our best to overcome them.” For me, those hurdles include writer’s block, figuring out what’s for dinner, and getting my imaginary characters to be quiet so I can work.
I write down the stories I think of, mostly so they stop bothering me. This method has resulted in my 2023 sci-fi book Capture, and my latest psychological thriller, Alone. I hope you enjoy it, as it cost me a significant amount of sleep.
