When you&#8217;re that close to Sicily, it&#8217;s almost impossible not to take the short ferry ride over.\u00a0 The ferry from Reggio brings you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.planetware.com\/tourist-attractions-\/messina-i-si-me.htm\">Messina<\/a> and from there it is about a 40-50 minute cab ride to beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lonelyplanet.com\/italy\/sicily\/taormina\">Taormina<\/a>. I spent a day in Taormina, and it was well worth the trip.\u00a0 Now I&#8217;m going to share with you a secret.
